Teeth Whitening

Renew your confidence with a bright smile!

Teeth WhiteningDiscolored or yellowed teeth can dull your smile, often causing a person to feel uncomfortable about showing their teeth. Whitening your teeth can give you a refreshing boost in confidence and greatly improve your smile.

Dr. Mulder offers Zoom for in-office whitening and Venus White® Pro whitening trays for patients who would prefer to whiten their teeth at home.

Why do teeth become discolored?

Teeth can become discolored over time by certain foods, drinks and medications, poor oral hygiene habits or tobacco use. Having dull or yellow teeth may even be inherited, and as we age, tooth enamel erodes and reveals the yellow dentin beneath.

In-office whitening with Zoom

Teeth WhiteningPhilips Zoom is an in-office procedure that can safely whiten your teeth – up to eight shades brighter – in under an hour. After lips and gums are safely covered, a hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to your teeth and a UV light is used to accelerate the bleaching process.

With Philips Zoom, we can customize a whitening plan that fits your individual needs. Because the Zoom system allows us to control the strength of the solution, we can also keep patients with sensitive teeth and gums comfortable during the procedure.

Whitening at home with Venus White Pro®

Teeth WhiteningWe design custom whitening trays that fit snugly over your teeth to prevent bleach from leaking out and irritating gums, and to prevent saliva from coming in and diluting the bleaching solution. The bleaching formula harmlessly penetrates the tooth enamel, gently and effectively dissolving stains.

Venus White Pro is available in three different strengths, providing personalized solutions. The whitening trays are worn for one hour each day, in the comfort of your home, until the desired results are achieved. Tests have shown that Venus White Pro can whiten teeth up to eight shades when used properly, and the solution presents very little discomfort for patients with sensitive teeth.
